Ingredients:
2 cups oats
1 cup puffed rice cereal
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
8-10 dates soaked in 1/2 cup water overnight
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Directions:
- Combine oats, rice cereal, and salt in a bowl.
- Mix together honey and peanut butter and melt in microwave for 30-60 seconds.
- Blend the dates and water until it's like a syrup.
- Combine oat mixture, honey mixture and dates and stir together until it shapes a dough.
- Press into a pan and freeze for 1 hour.
- Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the chilled granola bars with a fork.
- Freeze again until it is hard and cut into pieces.
